Code 4 flashing is the most popular choice when it comes to lead flashing, as it’s extremely malleable and resistant to splits. Suitable for a variety of projects, including soakers, vertical cladding and window flashings, code 4 lead offers the maximum required thickness.
Our milled lead is supplied by Calder and produced in the UK to BS EN 12588:2006 standard, so you can feel reassured at the quality of lead we’re providing. We supply code 4 lead rolls in 6m and 3m rolls, with widths ranging from 100mm up to 1.3m.
The code of lead indicates its thickness. Code 4 lead is 1.8mm thick, making it ideal for a range of building applications. It can be used as a waterproof sealing solution for additional components to a roof, thanks to its flexibility. This means it is malleable enough to be moulded around more complex and intricate structural elements of the roof.
Its watertightness also makes it perfect for roof valleys, or sections of the room where water penetration is most likely.
